Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black Aristocrats and Control strategy built around Liliana, Heretical Healer. It aims to control the early and mid-game by deploying symmetrical discard and sacrifice effects that strip opponents of resources while breaking parity through Zombie tokens and graveyard recursion. Its primary win condition is an aristocrat drain loop combining Warren Soultrader, Gravecrawler, and Zulaport Cutthroat or Bontu's Monument, which drains the entire table in a single turn. Powerful black tutors such as Demonic Tutor and Entomb ensure access to missing combo pieces, while engines like Skullclamp, Braids, Arisen Nightmare, and Waste Not maintain steady card advantage. If the primary combo is disrupted, the deck pivots into reanimator lines with Razaketh, the Foulblooded, massive life drains via Gray Merchant of Asphodel, or planeswalker ultimates to overwhelm the table.
