Format: Commander

Commander: K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a mono-black life-pay combo/storm deck helmed by K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth, who converts life into black mana - every black pip in any cost can be paid as 2 life. The primary game plan is to deploy K'rrik early, use his ability to chain cheap black spells, and win through Aetherflux Reservoir storm (often with Bolas's Citadel), a massive Peer into the Abyss + Vilis, Broker of Blood draw-drain, or a high-devotion Gray Merchant of Asphodel. Secondary lines include Warren Soultrader + Gravecrawler loops for infinite death triggers and Repay in Kind to collapse the table's life totals. The deck is tutor-dense and recursion-heavy, treating life as a resource, with Necropotence and Bolas's Citadel providing the card flow to storm off. It is fast and resilient but almost entirely uninteractive on the stack.
