Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Boros Dwarf tribal and Treasure-centric aggro deck led by Thorin, King of Durin's Folk. The primary strategy focuses on establishing an early board of low-mana Dwarves such as Dwalin, Weaponmaster, Kíli the Resourceful, and Magda, Brazen Outlaw. Casting Thorin on Turn 4 creates immediate Treasure tokens and provides an anthem that scales the power of all other Dwarves based on the total number of artifact tokens controlled. By Turn 5, token multipliers like Academy Manufactor and extra-combat engines such as Combat Celebrant, Aurelia, the Warleader, or Aggravated Assault turn small Dwarves into lethal threats capable of dealing massive combat damage. An infinite combat combo between Combat Celebrant and Helm of the Host provides a decisive alternate win condition. The deck protects its board with format-staple defensive spells including Clever Concealment and Teferi's Protection while disrupting opposing game plans with Drannith Magistrate and Boromir, Warden of the Tower.
