Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos Spellslinger Reanimator strategy piloted by Magar of the Magic Strings. The central game plan revolves around pitching game-ending, high-mana instants and sorceries—such as Army of the Damned, Explosive Singularity, and Sorin's Vengeance—into the graveyard using efficient looting and entomb effects. Magar reanimates these spells as face-down 3/3 creatures that cast free copies of the noted cards whenever they deal combat damage to a player. A robust suite of evasion enablers like Access Tunnel, Thieves' Tools, and Intimidation ensures these 3/3 puppets bypass opposing blockers. Once combat damage connects, the deck generates overwhelming board presence or massive direct damage each turn. The deck operates smoothly on curve with reliable mana fixing and redundant looting pieces, though it relies heavily on Magar remaining in play to bypass high casting costs.
