Deck overview

This mono-black deck harnesses Baron Helmut Zemo to cheat massive, high-pip black threats directly from the graveyard into play. By casting low-cost spells, Zemo repeatedly connives to filter cards and load the graveyard with heavy black mana symbols from powerhouse demons like Doomsday Excruciator, Reiver Demon, and Archfiend of Despair. Once 15 black mana symbols are in the yard, attacking with Zemo triggers its Boast ability, casting three huge threats for free. The primary win condition deploys Bloodletter of Aclazotz, Archfiend of Despair, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel simultaneously, causing Gary's devotion drain to double and Archfiend's end-step trigger to double again, wiping out all three opponents in a single turn. Backed by fast mana, extensive tutoring, and secondary reanimator routes through Hoarding Broodlord and Bolas's Citadel, the deck executes a rapid, devastating Turn 4 clock.
