Deck overview

This deck is a Simic Landfall Combo-Control build centered on Gretchen Titchwillow as both an instant-speed card advantage engine and a mana sink. The game plan focuses on rapid early acceleration through 1–2 CMC mana dorks, land enchantments, and land-search sorceries. Once Gretchen enters the battlefield, the pilot leaves mana open during opponent turns, threatening a dense suite of 11 counterspells and interactive bounce spells before activating Gretchen on the end step to draw cards and put surplus lands directly into play. The deck wins by assembling an infinite mana combo using Peregrine Drake paired with Lilysplash Mentor or Ghostly Flicker and Archaeomancer. With infinite mana generated, Gretchen draws the entire deck from the command zone, allowing Laboratory Maniac to close out the game immediately. It combines robust engine recovery with flexible interaction and reliable high-synergy lines.
