Format: Commander

Commander: The Serpent Society

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

The Serpent Society is a Golgari attrition swarm that floods the board with cheap deathtouch creatures, using the commander as a 3/4 deathtouch beat-stick with a poison-punishing ward and a death-triggered sacrifice effect. The real engine is Fynn, the Fangbearer: every deathtouch attacker that connects puts two poison counters on a player, and Bilious Skulldweller adds Toxic 1 on top. Reanimation and card advantage from Meren, Body Launderer, Archpriest of Shadows, and Harvester of Souls keep the pressure renewed. If poison fizzles, drain effects from Bastion of Remembrance, Poison-Tip Archer, and Massacre Wurm, plus Unstoppable Slasher's life-halving, grind down the table.
