Deck overview

This deck is a mono-green graveyard combo strategy led by Melira, Sylvok Outcast. The primary game plan exploits Melira's static ability, which prevents -1/-1 counters from being placed on your creatures. By combining Melira with a persist creature like Lesser Masticore and a free sacrifice outlet such as Blasting Station or Altar of Dementia, the deck creates an infinite loop. Sacrificing the persist creature returns it immediately without counters, generating infinite damage or library mill to eliminate all three opponents in a single turn. To assemble this combo, the deck uses self-mill cards, dredge mechanics, and flexible graveyard recursion spells to dig through the library. An extensive suite of one-mana instant protection spells defends the combo pieces from targeted removal. If the combo is disrupted or Melira is unavailable, the deck pivots into an alternate beatdown plan using scaling threats like Wrenn and Seven and Golgari Grave-Troll.
