Deck overview

This Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow deck is a high-power combat-tempo deck designed to eliminate all three opponents simultaneously through high-mana-value topdeck reveals. The game plan opens on Turn 1 with ultra-low-cost evasive creatures such as Changeling Outcast and Ornithopter. On Turn 2, the deck activates Commander ninjutsu for {U}{B} to put Yuriko into combat unblocked, immediately drawing a card and burning the table. Topdeck tutors and library manipulation tools like Brainstorm, Scroll Rack, and Vampiric Tutor ensure that Yuriko consistently reveals massive bombs like Draco and Shadow of Mortality, dealing 15 to 16 unpreventable damage to each opponent per hit. An extensive suite of free and alternate-cost interaction—including Force of Will, Fierce Guardianship, and Snuff Out—shields the board and disrupts opponents without slowing down mana development, closing out the game reliably by Turn 5.
