Deck overview

This deck is a high-power tempo and burn list built around Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. The primary plan relies on deploying cheap, evasive 1-drop creatures on Turn 1 and activating commander ninjutsu on Turn 2. Because commander ninjutsu is an activated ability that circumvents both the stack and commander tax, Yuriko enters play reliably and early. Once on the board, unblocked Ninja combat damage triggers Yuriko's ability, revealing the top card of the library to draw it and inflict equal life loss on each opponent simultaneously. The list leverages high-mana-value spells with alternative costs—such as Shadow of Mortality, Dig Through Time, and Treasure Cruise—paired with topdeck tutors like Brainstorm and Lim-Dûl's Vault to drain the table rapidly. A deep suite of efficient 0-to-2-mana counterspells and spot removal safeguards attackers and disrupts opposing win attempts, closing games around Turn 6.
