Deck overview

This deck executes a Mardu Voltron and board-control strategy led by Kelsien, the Plague. The primary game plan pairs Kelsien with cheap deathtouch Equipment such as Basilisk Collar and Rune of Mortality, turning the commander's tap ability into repeatable instant-speed creature removal that generates permanent experience counters. A deep suite of Equipment tutors like Stoneforge Mystic, Steelshaper's Gift, and Fighter Class ensures rapid assembly by Turn 4. Once Kelsien grows or equips lethal payoffs like Grafted Exoskeleton and Brotherhood Regalia, the deck pivots to aggressive combat eliminations starting on Turn 5. Protection spells including Deflecting Swat, Dawn's Truce, and Grand Abolisher defend the Voltron line, while autonomous threats like Otharri, Suns' Glory provide resilient backup clocks.
