Deck overview

This is a five-color Saga value engine helmed by Tom Bombadil, whose final-chapter chain "cascades" another Saga onto the battlefield from the top of the library every turn. The 99 is built to resolve as many final chapters as possible: 24+ Sagas, the enchantress draw trio of Sythis, Harvest's Hand, Argothian Enchantress, and Setessan Champion, plus a counter-manipulation suite (Satsuki, the Living Lore, Sigurd, Jarl of Ravensthorpe, Goldberry, River-Daughter, Garnet, Princess of Alexandria, and Barbara Wright's read-ahead) that fires chapters ahead of schedule. Victory comes through grinding: Narci, Fable Singer drains the table with every final chapter, Summon: Bahamut's Mega Flare burns everyone for the total mana value of the board, Summon: Primal Odin deletes a player on contact, and oversized back faces like The Kami War and Fable of the Mirror-Breaker, plus The Coming of Galactus and Kiora Bests the Sea God, close out via combat. Resurgent Belief, Yuna, Hope of Spira, and Hall of Heliod's Generosity make the engine very hard to permanently dismantle.
