Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Jeskai Spellslinger deck commanded by Hinata, Dawn-Crowned. Hinata reduces the generic mana cost of your spells by one mana for each target they choose, while taxing opponents' targeted spells by one mana per target. This mechanic turns expensive, multi-target spells into hyper-efficient game-changers. Spells like Magma Opus cost only two mana ({U}{R}), Sublime Epiphany costs a single blue mana ({U}), and mass removal spells like Curse of the Swine or Heliod's Intervention clear entire boards for one or two colored pips. The deck leverages this immense mana discount to maintain tight control over the board with ultra-cheap interaction and board wipes, while rapidly drawing through the library with engines like Voracious Bibliophile and Archmage Emeritus. Once mana rituals like Mana Geyser or engines like Thousand-Year Storm and Storm-Kiln Artist hit the board on Turn 5, the deck closes the game immediately by casting a lethal, discounted Comet Storm or Aurelia's Fury that deals fatal damage to all opponents at once.
