Deck overview

This Temur Spellslinger deck harnesses Iroh, Grand Lotus to transform the graveyard into an expansive, reusable resource pool. By granting every non-Lesson instant and sorcery standard flashback and reducing every Lesson spell to a mere {1} flashback cost, the deck bypasses conventional hand-size limits. Early turns focus on establishing mana acceleration, cost reducers like Doc Aurlock, Grizzled Genius, and filling the graveyard with utility Lessons. Once Iroh enters on Turn 5, the deck transitions immediately into explosive storm sequencing. Flashing back multiple cheap Lessons alongside magecraft engines like Guttersnipe, Coruscation Mage, and Archmage Emeritus generates overwhelming burn damage, extensive card draw, and wide token swarms from cards like Mascot Exhibition. With robust shielding from Deflecting Swat and recyclable Lesson protection, the deck reliably closes out games on Turn 7 through combined combat swarms and noncombat burn, maintaining powerful mid-game resilience even if the commander faces removal.
