Deck overview

This deck is a specialized combo-storm strategy built around 25 copies of Sphinx's Approach and Sphinx tribal synergies. Helmed by The Ur-Sphinx, which reduces Sphinx casting costs from the command zone via eminence, the deck accelerates into game-ending draw engines on Turn 4. Deploying Thrumming Stone enables massive ripple chains across the 25 identical Approach cards, while Sphinx of the Chimes turns duplicate copies into repeatable four-card draws. By rapidly churning through its entire library and utilizing Approach's graveyard exile ability to cheat high-impact Sphinxes like Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign or Sharuum the Hegemon onto the battlefield, the deck empties its library in a single burst on Turn 5. It closes the game immediately with Thassa's Oracle or Laboratory Maniac. Efficient interaction and cost-reducers support the plan, delivering a focused and redundant combo line.
