Deck overview

This Orzhov combo-control deck leverages lifegain mechanics, incremental drain engines, and redundant two-card infinite combinations to achieve swift, decisive victories. Commanded by Niv-Mizzet, Ghost Counsel, the deck turns incidental life gain into massive card advantage, paying life to dig through the library for game-ending pieces. The primary win condition revolves around establishing an infinite loop between life gain on opponent life loss (Exquisite Blood, Bloodthirsty Conqueror) and opponent life loss on life gain (Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Sanguine Bond, Enduring Tenacity). Once both halves are assembled, any single life gain or damage trigger causes an unbreakable chain that drains all three opponents to zero life simultaneously. Backed by premier exile removal like Swords to Plowshares and Anguished Unmaking, alongside asymmetric tax pieces like Sheoldred, the Apocalypse and Blind Obedience, the deck controls the pace of play before seamlessly executing its combo finish around Turn 5.
