Deck overview

This is an Esper combat-damage deck built to extract maximum value from attack triggers, helmed by Kamiz, Obscura Oculus. The commander's two-part trigger - making one attacker unblockable and giving a lesser-power attacker double strike - is the engine that turns a field of evasive, under-statted creatures into a compounding life-loss machine. The primary plan is to connect with half-life effects (Quietus Spike, Grievous Wound, Unstoppable Slasher) on a double-striking, unblockable body, while a dense suite of draw-on-combat-damage effects (Bident of Thassa, Coastal Piracy, Reconnaissance Mission) keeps the hand full. Discard synergies (Oskar, Rubbish Reclaimer, Containment Construct, Archfiend of Ifnir) and a solid recursion package (Sun Titan, Victimize, Phyrexian Reclamation) support the grind. Phage the Untouchable is a spicy alternate kill if cast from hand and made unblockable. The deck wins through repeated, evasive combat rather than any infinite line.
