Golgari Aristocrats by SelkN

Format: Commander

Commander: Sivriss, Nightmare Speaker and Master Chef

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Golgari sacrifice/reanimation deck built around a powerful two-commander synergy: Sivriss, Nightmare Speaker provides a command-zone sacrifice outlet and card-advantage engine, while the Background Master Chef turns persist into an infinite-loop mechanic. With Master Chef on the battlefield, a persist creature enters with both a -1/-1 counter from persist and a +1/+1 counter from the Chef; the counters cancel, so the creature can persist forever. The game plan is to mill or Entomb persist creatures and payoffs into the graveyard, reanimate them, then sacrifice them through Ashnod's Altar, Phyrexian Altar, or Altar of Dementia to generate infinite death triggers. Zulaport Cutthroat, Marionette Apprentice, and Pitiless Plunderer convert those triggers into drains, mana, or Treasures, while Woodfall Primus can destroy every noncreature permanent. A deep reanimation shell with Meren of Clan Nel Toth, Cauldron of Essence, Eternal Witness, and multiple one-shot recursion spells gives the deck strong recovery.
