Deck overview

The Astonishing Ant-Man grows whenever cards are drawn, then converts its counters into Insects. The deck supports that plan with counter doublers such as Hardened Scales, Ozolith, the Shattered Spire, and The Earth Crystal, plus draw engines including Terrasymbiosis, Bred for the Hunt, Mister Fantastic, Reed Richards, and Curiosity Crafter. Ramp from Nature's Lore, Three Visits, Cultivate, Kodama's Reach, Arcane Signet, and Talisman of Curiosity helps pay for the commander and its activation. The ordinary plan is to establish the commander and one engine around turn 7, then develop a token board through later turns. Cryptolith Rite and Growing Rites of Itlimoc can improve the mana, while Overwhelming Stampede or Overrun supplies the combat payoff. The deck has useful protection and interaction, but no deterministic combo, no proactive lock, and no reliable table kill on a fixed clock.
