Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black aristocrats and control engine commanded by Erebos, God of the Dead. It controls the game by turning creature deaths into card advantage, mana, and life drain. The deck generates recurring creature tokens with Bitterblossom, Ophiomancer, and Dreadhorde Invasion, and recurs creatures like Reassembling Skeleton, Bloodghast, and Gravecrawler. It leverages continuous sacrifice outlets such as Viscera Seer, Ashnod's Altar, and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician to trigger grave-pact effects that keep opposing boards clear. As the game develops, Cabal Coffers and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx provide large amounts of mana to cast massive spells like Torment of Hailfire and Rise of the Dark Realms. The deck wins either by grinding out the table with drain effects like Blood Artist, Bastion of Remembrance, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel, or by executing an infinite sacrifice drain loop using Pitiless Plunderer, Ashnod's Altar, and Reassembling Skeleton.
