Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Rakdos Stompy and reanimation strategy built around Rakdos, Lord of Riots. The primary game plan uses low-mana recurring damage sources like Creeping Bloodsucker and Stormfist Crusader to meet the commander's strict casting condition on Turn 3. Once Rakdos attacks on Turn 4, the resulting life loss converts into massive generic mana discounts, allowing the deck to flood the board with devastating colorless and colored threats such as Blightsteel Colossus, Void Winnower, and Terror of the Peaks in the postcombat main phase. Card draw powerhouses like Knollspine Dragon and Kozilek, Butcher of Truth chain these discounts into full-grip refills. If the commander is removed, redundant cheat engines including Sneak Attack and efficient reanimation spells provide independent, resilient backup paths to victory.
