Deck overview

This deck is a focused Grixis reanimator strategy helmed by Sedris, the Traitor King. The game plan revolves around rapidly stocking the graveyard with game-ending creatures such as Archon of Cruelty, Terror of the Peaks, Grave Titan, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel using tutors like Entomb, Buried Alive, and Unmarked Grave. From there, cheap reanimation spells like Reanimate, Animate Dead, and Victimize cheat these behemoths onto the battlefield well ahead of curve. Sedris, the Traitor King acts as a late-game recursion engine from the command zone, granting every creature in the graveyard unearth. The deck incorporates blink effects like Ghostly Flicker, Essence Flux, and Thassa, Deep-Dwelling to exile unearthed creatures and return them as permanent battlefield objects, bypassing the end-step exile trigger. The deck closes games through explosive ETB burn, asymmetric attrition, and sweeping boards with Living Death.
