Deck overview

This Izzet spellslinger deck is helmed by the transforming duo Ashling, Rekindled // Ashling, Rimebound. The primary game plan is to deploy cost reducers and ramp, then chain high-mana-value instants and sorceries to generate overwhelming token armies (Shark Typhoon, Metallurgic Summonings, Ovika, Enigma Goliath) and massive burn (Crackle with Power, Jaya's Immolating Inferno). The commander's front side provides card filtering, while the back side generates two mana each turn specifically for spells with mana value 4 or greater, accelerating the deck's expensive payloads. Graveyard recursion via Mizzix's Mastery, The Dawning Archaic, and Arcane Bombardment provides resilience and repeated value. The deck aims to overwhelm opponents with a critical mass of copied spells and evasive tokens, closing out through direct damage or combat.
