Format: Commander

Commander: Archangel Avacyn // Avacyn, the Purifier

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Archangel Avacyn leads a Boros damage-redirect deck that aims to convert damage into lethal loops. The primary plan is to enchant an indestructible damage reflector-Stuffy Doll, Brash Taunter, or Phyrexian Vindicator-with Guilty Conscience, then trigger it with a damage source or its own activation for infinite damage. The commander's front face provides mass-indestructible protection, while the back face deals 3 to the board to start reflector triggers. Backup paths include lifegain into Felidar Sovereign, Repercussion plus Blasphemous Act, and Angel of Destiny combat kills. The deck is midrange: it draws with enchantments such as Dawn of Hope and Smuggler's Share, tutors with Moon-Blessed Cleric, and protects its pieces with flicker effects.
