Master of Puppets - Bolas Superfriends by user8904229

Format: Commander

Commander: Nicol Bolas, the Ravager // Nicol Bolas, the Arisen

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Grixis superfriends deck that wins by resolving Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God and using The Elderspell to feed it loyalty counters, then activating its -8 ultimate to eliminate opponents who control no legendary creature or planeswalker. The commander, Nicol Bolas, the Ravager, is a discard/beater that the deck wants to flip into Nicol Bolas, the Arisen for repeatable card draw, removal, and reanimation, and to act as another Bolas planeswalker. Secondary plans are big-mana Torment of Hailfire via Cabal Coffers + Urborg and theft/value plays with Bribery, Acquire, and Cruel Ultimatum. The hidden centerpiece is Dragon-God, supported by planeswalker multipliers Ichormoon Gauntlet and The Chain Veil.
