Deck overview

This Dimir deck leverages Gisa and Geralf to command a resilient Zombie tribal strategy centered on self-mill, graveyard recursion, and aristocrat drain. The deck develops by filling the graveyard with Zombie creatures, establishing recurring casts directly from the yard, and building a wide battlefield of synergistic undead. Anthems from lords like Death Baron, Cemetery Reaper, and Lord of the Accursed turn Zombie tokens into lethal threats equipped with deathtouch and menace. Meanwhile, aristocrat drain engines like Diregraf Captain, Vengeful Dead, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel convert creature sacrifices and attrition into direct life loss for opponents. While the deck boasts strong independent backup plans through mass reanimation spells like Zombie Apocalypse, it lacks fast mana acceleration, reliable tutors for noncreature enchantments, and instant-speed stack protection. As a result, it operates as a focused midrange combat and attrition deck that excels at grinding out incremental advantages over longer multiplayer games.
