Deck overview

Golbez, Crystal Collector is a graveyard-value engine at the center of a blue-black artifact deck. The primary plan is to flood the battlefield with cheap artifacts, use each artifact ETB to surveil, and convert that into cards with Matoya, Rook Turret, and Basim. Once the deck controls eight artifacts, Golbez returns a high-power creature each end step and drains all opponents. A secondary plan goes wide: Cyberdrive Awakener and Cybermen Squadron animate the artifact board into a myriad alpha strike, while Hullbreaker Horror plus Sol Ring and Basalt Monolith offers a compact infinite-mana kill with Brain Freeze. Urza, Lord High Artificer is the hidden commander, turning the same artifact board into mana, card engine, and a backup win condition.
