Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Sphinx tribal midrange strategy commanded by The Ur-Sphinx. From turn one, the commander provides passive mana reduction through its Eminence ability, reducing the cost of all Sphinx spells. The primary game plan focuses on deploying tribal cost reducers like Urza's Incubator, Herald's Horn, and Watcher of the Spheres to cast powerful flying creatures ahead of schedule. The deck's core engine relies on Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign, which further reduces casting costs and turns every entering Sphinx into a four-card mini-Fact or Fiction draw trigger. Backed by draw engines like Consecrated Sphinx and Kindred Discovery, the deck rapidly floods the battlefield with resilient 4/4 to 6/6 flying creatures. One-sided sweepers such as Raise the Palisade and Kindred Dominance remove opposing blockers, allowing the airborne army to eliminate opponents across two combat rotations. Teferi's Protection and efficient counterspells safeguard the board against disruption until lethal combat damage is dealt.
