Deck overview

This mono-red deck revolves around Avatar Roku, Firebender, using combat mana triggers and self-pump abilities to eliminate opponents through commander damage and firebending synergies. Supported by thematic creatures and combat enhancers such as Twin Blades and Fists of Flame, the deck ramps on curve to cast its 6-mana commander by Turn 5 or 6. Once Roku enters combat, his attack trigger generates six red mana that can be reinvested immediately into his activated ability or instant-speed combat tricks. While Blood Moon and Zhao, the Moon Slayer provide light nonbasic land denial, the deck generally operates on a fair, interactive aggro plan rather than locking down opponents or assembling infinite loops. The deck relies on targeted redirects like Deflecting Swat and Bolt Bend to protect its threats while clocking opponents individually across multiple combat steps.
