Arcane Maelstrom - Precon League by Soulless

Format: Commander

Commander: Kalamax, the Stormsire

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Kalamax, the Stormsire helms a spellslinger midrange deck that leverages copy triggers and instant-speed interaction across every turn cycle. The primary objective is to resolve Kalamax, tap him safely in combat, and hold open mana to duplicate high-impact instant spells on opponents turns. By copying ramp spells, draw effects, and removal, Kalamax grows massive through +1/+1 counters while generating overwhelming card advantage. The deck seals victory either by pushing through lethal commander damage with evasion engines like Kessig Wolf Run, swarming the board with token producers like Talrand, Sky Summoner, Murmuring Mystic, and Hunting Pack, or burning down opponents with duplicated Comet Storm casts.
