Deck overview

This deck is a non-green ({W}{U}{B}{R}) Polymorph control strategy commanded by Jace, Multiverse Architect. The primary game plan utilizes dense 2-mana ramp alongside continuous token generators like Skrelv's Hive and Dreadhorde Invasion to prepare cheap fodder. On Turn 4, casting Jace allows an immediate −3 activation, exiling a token to cheat a massive, game-warping creature or planeswalker directly onto the battlefield. The payoff suite features crushing options such as Archon of Cruelty, Serra's Emissary, Archfiend of Despair, and The Ur-Sphinx. Redundant cheat enablers including Proteus Staff and Mass Polymorph ensure independence from the command zone, while free protection spells like Deflecting Swat and Flawless Maneuver shield your setup. By attacking with evasive monsters and doubling end-step life loss via Archfiend of Despair, the deck methodically eliminates all opponents around Turn 7.
