Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Mono-Red Voltron strategy led by Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos. The deck leverages Alexios's unique ability to pass around the table on each player's upkeep, untapping, gaining a +1/+1 counter, and attacking an opponent each combat. Because equipment attached to Alexios remains under your control and stays attached as he changes controllers, buffs and combat triggers fire up to four times per turn cycle. Cards like Commander's Plate, Mithril Coat, and Swiftfoot Boots shield Alexios from removal, while damage multipliers such as Two-Handed Axe, Fireshrieker, and Fiendish Duo rapidly turn him into a lethal threat. Auxiliary goad spells and Silent Arbiter manipulate combat to prevent crackbacks and clear blocking paths. While the deck boasts explosive combat clocks, it relies heavily on natural draws due to a lack of tutors and possesses minimal reactive interaction against non-creature combo strategies.
