Format: Commander

Commander: Vivi Ornitier

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Vivi Ornitier is a spellslinger drain engine: every noncreature spell grows her power and pings each opponent for 1. The primary plan is to land Vivi early, then resolve Niv-Mizzet, Visionary (the hidden commander) or Thor/Virtue of Courage so each ping draws or exiles three cards, turning a critical mass of cheap instants, sorceries, and free counterspells into a self-sustaining chain. Vivi's {0} ability converts her power into red/blue mana once per turn, and Twisted Image/Invert can switch her P/T to make that burst larger. Extra-turn spells (Final Fortune, Last Chance, Warrior's Oath, Alchemist's Gambit) act as finishers by granting another Vivi activation. Backup paths include a huge commander-damage attack with Wild Ride or Secret Identity.
