This deck is an Esper Spellslinger Combo-Control list helmed by Y'shtola, Night's Blessed. The primary game plan converts noncreature spells into table-wide burn, lifegain, and massive card draw. By attaching damage-trigger auras like Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, or Helm of the Ghastlord to Y'shtola, every noncreature spell with mana value 3 or greater deals 2 damage to each opponent and draws 3 cards. This engine rapidly digs into the deck's primary win condition: the infinite mill and drain loop of Bloodchief Ascension and Mindcrank. Backed by a premier suite of free and efficient countermagic, removal, and turn-silencing protection pieces like Grand Abolisher and Teferi, Time Raveler, the deck controls the tempo of the table before executing a clean same-turn win on Turn 5.
