Lorehold Spirit - Secrets of Strixhaven by iBori

Format: Commander

Commander: Quintorius, History Chaser

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Boros graveyard-matters Spirit token deck helmed by Quintorius, History Chaser, a planeswalker commander whose static ability turns every card leaving the graveyard into a 3/2 Spirit. The plan is to mill and discard aggressively - via looting effects like Faithless Looting, Pursue the Past, and the commander's own +1 - then exile those cards from the graveyard to trigger a dense web of "whenever one or more cards leave your graveyard" payoffs: Quintorius, Field Historian, Garrison Excavator, Ark of Hunger, and Advanced Reconstruction. The deck wins through combat, either by overrunning with a critical mass of Spirits pumped by Moonshaker Cavalry or Hofri Ghostforge, or by activating the commander's -4 to give the token army double strike and vigilance. It is a midrange value engine with strong recursion (Sun Titan, Sevinne's Reclamation, Serra Paragon) rather than a fast combo deck.
