Deck overview

This deck is an optimized Grixis Reanimator and Combo shell commanded by Lord Xander, the Collector. Rather than hardcasting its seven-mana commander, the deck uses low-cost rocks and rituals to dump high-impact threats like Archon of Cruelty, Toxrill, the Corrosive, and Lord Xander into the graveyard via Entomb and loot spells. It cheats them into play as early as Turn 3–4 using Reanimate, Animate Dead, or Sneak Attack, inflicting catastrophic resource depletion across opposing hands and boards. In parallel, the list supports compact game-ending combos: an infinite mana and flicker loop with Deadeye Navigator and Peregrine Drake, alongside the classic storm package of Bolas's Citadel, Sensei's Divining Top, and Aetherflux Reservoir. Dense countermagic and free interaction defend these critical windows, while high-velocity card engines ensure continuous operational recovery and table oppression.
