Deck overview

This Dimir deck executes a combo-control game plan centered around the classic Isochron Scepter and Dramatic Reversal infinite mana engine. By deploying early artifact ramp and utility creatures, the deck establishes the mana velocity necessary to assemble its primary win condition. The list heavily leverages the Transmute mechanic via Muddle the Mixture, Dimir Infiltrator, and Shred Memory to tutor directly for 2-mana combo pieces and outlets like Exsanguinate. A robust suite of counterspells, including Fierce Guardianship and Counterspell, shields key plays and disrupts faster opponents. If the primary artifact combo is stalled, the deck transitions smoothly into its secondary plan using Lazav, the Multifarious. Lazav copies unblockable creatures such as Invisible Stalker before transforming into Wall of Blood to deliver sudden lethal commander damage. The build reliably controls the game state before closing on Turn 5.
