Deck overview

This mono-blue control deck leverages Princess Yue alongside tap/untap mechanics, scrying synergies, and an extensive suite of clone effects. Princess Yue provides reliable early-game library manipulation through her {T}: Scry 2 ability and acts as built-in ramp when she dies by returning as a Moon land. The deck turns tap triggers into card advantage and board control using creatures like Matoya, Archon Elder, Fallowsage, and Surgespanner, assisted by vehicles and lands like Holdout Settlement. Rather than racing toward fast combo wins, the strategy focuses on duplicating the strongest opposing threats with shapeshifters such as Phyrexian Metamorph, Clever Impersonator, and Hulking Metamorph. It establishes control through asymmetric board wipes like Scourge of Fleets and Consuming Tide, clearing opposing blockers before finishing the table across coordinated combat steps. Resilient graveyard mechanics like embalm, disturb, and renew provide strong recovery against removal.
