Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Simic stompy and cheat-into-play strategy commanded by Vannifar, Evolved Enigma. The core game plan exploits Vannifar's combat trigger to cloak cards from hand as 2/2 face-down creatures with ward {2}. Targeting these cloaked cards with low-cost blink spells such as Essence Flux, Planar Incision, or end-step engines like Thassa, Deep-Dwelling cheats massive permanents face up without paying their printed mana costs. The payoff package includes devastating Eldrazi titans, Blightsteel Colossus, Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, Void Winnower, and Portal to Phyrexia. Beyond its primary cheat line, the deck runs efficient acceleration (Sol Ring, Mana Vault, Grim Monolith) and independent cheat engines like Defense of the Heart and Quicksilver Amulet. Free counterspells (Force of Will, Fierce Guardianship) defend the combo, while asymmetric stax pieces strip opponent resources before the deck eliminates all three opponents by Turn 6.
