Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Sultai combo engine commanded by Thranduil, the Elvenking. The primary strategy accelerates mana in the opening turns using fast artifacts and efficient Elf dorks, deploys Thranduil, and casts Buried Alive to place Devoted Druid, Marwyn, the Nurturer, and Ezuri, Renegade Leader directly into the graveyard. Because Thranduil gains all activated abilities of Elf cards in your graveyard, he taps for huge amounts of green mana via Marwyn's ability, untaps repeatedly with Devoted Druid's -1/-1 counter ability, and pumps himself and the entire team infinitely with Ezuri. With infinite mana established on Turn 4, the deck converts directly into a same-turn table kill using haste enablers like Finale of Devastation or massive drain spells like Torment of Hailfire. Supported by top-tier free countermagic and robust card engines, the deck executes its linear combo with remarkable speed and resilience.
