Deck overview

Auntie Ool, Cursewretch commands a Jund midrange aristocrats deck built around distributing -1/-1 counters to grind out massive card advantage and table-wide life drain. The deck accelerates in the opening turns with efficient green land ramp and signets, casting Auntie Ool on Turn 3. On Turn 4, it deploys token-generating engines such as Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and Nest of Scarabs or blight enablers like Sinister Gnarlbark. When counters are placed on friendly creatures, Auntie Ool draws cards, and when placed on opposing creatures, opponents lose life. The midgame is dominated by board control through Black Sun's Zenith, Carnifex Demon, Everlasting Torment, and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, turning counter distribution into one-sided board wipes. The deck closes games around Turn 7 via aristocrat drain from Blood Artist, Bastion of Remembrance, and Obelisk Spider, or through compact persist infinite combos utilizing Murderous Redcap, Grumgully, the Generous, Melira, Sylvok Outcast, and sacrifice outlets.
