Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan Midrange strategy centered on the partner pairing of Frodo, Adventurous Hobbit and Sam, Loyal Attendant. The early game focuses on deploying both commanders by Turn 3 to establish a reliable engine: Sam produces Food tokens at combat and reduces their activation cost, enabling Frodo to gain life, advance the Ring's temptation, and draw cards every turn cycle. In the mid-to-late game, the deck leverages its accumulated Food tokens through versatile utility engines like Peregrin Took and Jaheira, Friend of the Forest. Victory is achieved around Turn 9 through two primary avenues: scaling massive trample attackers via Treebeard, Gracious Host and Pippin, Warden of Isengard, or draining the entire table simultaneously with Mirkwood Bats, Agent of the Iron Throne, and Sanguine Bond. The deck excels at resilient card flow and steady life buffer generation.
