Deck overview

This Grixis deck pairs Vial Smasher the Fierce and Kraum, Ludevic's Opus to lead a Wizard tribal spellslinger strategy focused on group burn. The game plan accelerates in the first three turns using cost reducers and mana artifacts like Baral, Chief of Compliance and Talisman of Dominance. On Turn 4, it establishes an engine of Wizard payoffs such as Vivi Ornitier, Black Waltz No. 3, and Archmage Emeritus that turn every instant and sorcery into card draw and table-wide damage. By Turn 6, the deck resolves major damage multipliers including Fiery Emancipation, Harmonic Prodigy, or Roaming Throne, turning cheap interaction into heavy life loss for all opponents. The list protects its lead with flexible countermagic and asymmetrical sweepers like Kindred Dominance before closing the game around Turn 8 through relentless direct damage and evasive combat.
