Deck overview

This Temur deck is an explosive Dragon stompy archetype led by Ureni of the Unwritten. The strategy focuses on accelerating through the early turns with efficient 1-to-2 mana ramp spells and cost-reducers, quickly reaching the mana required to cast Ureni or cheat it out early with Hellkite Courser. Once deployed, Ureni looks eight cards deep on both entry and attack, cheating colossal flying Dragons directly onto the battlefield without paying their mana costs. Payoffs like Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm, Atarka, World Render, Terror of the Peaks, and Utvara Hellkite quickly multiply damage and board presence, overwhelming opponents in one or two massive combat steps. The deck defends its explosive setup with elite, low-cost countermagic and free protection spells such as Fierce Guardianship and Deflecting Swat, while maintaining high functional redundancy to rebuild effortlessly if answered.
