sauron the necromancer by user2190324

Format: Commander

Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Sauron, the Dark Lord leads a Grixis midrange and reanimator strategy that uses Ring-tempting triggers and spellcasts to amass a massive Orc Army while cycling through the library. Sauron acts as a card advantage engine and board presence, letting you discard your hand to draw four fresh cards whenever the Ring tempts you. The deck wins by using mass reanimation spells like Rise of the Dark Realms, pushing lethal trample damage through Orcish Siegemaster and Assault on Osgiliath, or cheating massive threats like The Balrog, Durin's Bane and The Balrog of Moria into play from the graveyard.
