Deck overview

Marneus Calgar commands an Esper token-midrange and combo strategy that turns any token creation into relentless card advantage. The deck establishes early ramp and resilient engines through cards like Black Market Connections and Smothering Tithe before deploying Marneus Calgar to draw through the library. While the deck can overwhelm opponents with an evasive, buffed token army using cards like Thunderhawk Gunship and For the Emperor!, its primary win conditions revolve around infinite sacrifice loops. Combining Marneus with Ashnod's Altar, token doublers like Anointed Procession, or Training Grounds produces infinite mana and card draw, terminating the game via Commissar Severina Raine or Kambal, Profiteering Mayor.
