Deck overview

Smaug the Impenetrable is a hasty, indestructible treasure engine and the deck's primary combo piece. The plan is to put Dizzying Gaze on Smaug, let it repeatedly deal 1 damage to itself, create infinite Treasures, then convert those Treasures into life loss via Mayhem Devil, Mirkwood Bats, Disciple of the Vault, and similar drainers. Secondary lines use Blazing Sunsteel or Pain for All to turn a single massive damage hit, like Blasphemous Act or Exploding Barrel, into lethal pings. Treasure payoffs including Smaug, Wicked Worm and Goldspan Dragon fuel both ramp and drain. The deck is fast but fragile: the main loop depends on one Aura and the commander, so disruption can force a slower dragon-and-treasure beatdown plan.
