Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Spellslinger Aristocrats build led by Anhelo, the Painter. The strategy combines low-cost recurring creatures with heavy instant and sorcery payoffs. During early turns, the deck deploys self-recurring 2-power creatures like Bloodghast, Bloodsoaked Champion, and Forsaken Miner to satisfy Anhelo's casualty 2 requirement. Once the commander resolves on Turn 3 or 4, cheap card selection and removal spells gain double value. The deck ramps toward 7 or 8 mana to resolve game-ending copied spells such as Army of the Damned, Cruel Ultimatum, or a large Exsanguinate. While the deck generates high resource value and wide boards, it relies on natural draws to find its major finishers and must protect its token armies through opposing combat turns.
