Deck overview

This Bristly Bill, Spine Sower deck executes an aggressive mono-green landfall and +1/+1 counters game plan. The strategy revolves around deploying Bristly Bill early on Turn 2, then utilizing dense land-ramp spells like Cultivate, Harrow, and Entish Restoration to repeatedly trigger landfall and place counters onto expanding creatures. As the mana base develops, counter doublers like Branching Evolution and Primal Vigor combine with Bristly Bill's activated ability to exponentially scale power across the board. The deck leverages evasion and trample sources, such as Champion of Lambholt, Kodama of the West Tree, and Ghalta the Unstoppable, to push massive combat damage through opposing defenses, reliably closing out games over Turns 6 to 7. While highly explosive in creature combat and mana production, the deck relies on keeping its board intact and must sequence carefully against opposing sweepers and heavy spot removal.
