Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos midrange build centered on Kethek, Crucible Goliath, utilizing sacrifice synergies, Phyrexian tribal support, and Living Weapon equipment. By deploying efficient mana rocks on early turns, Kethek hits the battlefield on Turn 4 alongside low-to-mid CMC creatures or Germ tokens. On each end step, Kethek converts sacrificed permanents into lower-mana-value nonlegendary creatures directly from the library, cheating mana costs and steadily building board presence. The deck applies mid-game pressure through powerful equipment like Kaldra Compleat, Batterskull, and Lashwrithe, alongside legendary beaters like Greven, Predator Captain and the meld pairing of Mishra, Claimed by Gix with Phyrexian Dragon Engine. While the strategy generates resilient board presence and passive graveyard denial via The Darkness Crystal, it lacks dedicated stack protection and instant-speed interaction, leaving its multi-turn combat finish vulnerable to timely sweepers and targeted removal.
